A toucan is a bird with a bright-colored bill and a limited capacity for speech. In mainstream Smurfs media, Chlorhydris the evil witch owns one that keeps her company while she develops plots on how she can remove all the love in the world. Her toucan is never named in the series, and it speaks in a pseudo-Italian accent, usually commenting on how hateful his owner is.
