Timber Smurf (original French name Schtroumpf Bûcheron) is the village's lumberjack. In the comic books, he is known as Lumberjack. In the 1981 cartoon show, he is able to talk to the trees and get them to obey him.
Role In The Village
He cuts trees for the village so that the Smurfs can build the dam and other things.
Personality
It is shown that Timber is very strict to helping the village and does not want to participate in foolish games. In "The Gambler Smurfs", Timber is the only Smurf who continues with his daily routine as everyone else is gambling. A few days later, he finds humans cutting down the trees to make a casino, causing the village to be a direct threat. He goes back to the village and tells the other Smurfs.
He knows how to react quickly in a time of need. In "The Smurfs Christmas", when trying to find a tree for Baby Smurf, Timber comes across a fairy elf named Vini, who claims that her sister has been turned into a tree. Gargamel hears this and captures The Talking Elf Tree and threatens to burn her if Vini and Timber do not return with golden cones from a "legendary" tree. Timber and Vini find it, however it's just an ordinary pine tree with ordinary cones. Upset that Vini's sister might be burned, Timber hurries back to the village and retrieves Painter who paints the pinecones gold.
Timber is shown to think very quickly on his feet, no matter the situation. In his debut episode in the series, Timber has saved the Smurfs three times from Gargamel. In "The Magic Sack Of Mr. Nicholas", he saved the Smurfs from being caught on fire in Chlorhydris' castle.
He seems also to be impatient. In "The Magic Sack Of Mr. Nicholas", he refuses to wait for Grouchy to join him and his volunteers to cut down a tree.

In the Smurf's Village game, Timber will give you coins, XP, and wood if you tap him every twelve hours. His hut is available to buy in both main village and island region. The hut in the main village cost 300 coins while the one on the island costs and 25 smurfberries.
Smurf Life
He also appears in Smurf Life where he teaches your Smurf how to build stuff in the crafting profession.
