Vanity Scare[]
A one-page gag comic
At a Halloween party, several Smurfs are enjoying themselves and showing off their costumes. Vanity however, does not wear a costume, saying he is perfect the way he is and wants to tell Papa Smurf. However, when Papa turns, he faints and Vanity walks away crying. This is revealed to be Jokey Smurf in disguise.

Vanity rushes to Papa Smurf as he has turned into a literal monster. Papa turns into a monster as well, and soon, several Smurfs have turned into monsters and have gathered around him. Papa Smurf comes to the conclusion that they are under a spell. Brainy (who is a snake) has realized that Jokey is missing and he saw him at the wishing well five minutes ago. Jokey is then shown laughing.
The Costume Contest[]
A one-page gag comic
Grouchy does not want to be a part of the Halloween dance and goes off into the forest. He says he will not leave until the party is over. Jokey comes over and scares him, causing him to fall in the river. Grouchy then chases Jokey back to the village, where Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and Brainy give his "costume" (which is just seaweed) the prize.
The Smurf's Only Hanging On By A Thread[]
A one-page gag comic
Two Smurfs watch a Smurf on a wire going back and forth while holding a long red stick. One Smurf says it's a trick and the other Smurf wonders as well. The suspicious Smurf walks into a wall, revealing that the wire was a wall painted sky blue.
