|Veronique Culliford on Global Smurfs Day|
Global Smurfs Day was a worldwide event held on June 25, 2011 (which was Peyo's birthday) to celebrate the impending release of The Smurfs movie. On that day, people in various cities around the world showed their love for the Smurfs by dressing up in appearance like Smurfs, with blue shirts, white pants, white floppy Smurf hats, and faces all painted blue. One of its participants was Veronique Culliford, the daughter of the original Peyo.
Global Smurfs Day has been since celebrated a few more times in the following years on the same day.
