The chocolate thief was an unnamed character that appeared in the season 9 episode “Wild Goes Cuckoo”. In the episode, he invented a magic cuckoo clock that could stop anyone who heard the sound of the cuckoo to do anything. He wanted to use this to steal chocolates from a factory as he was a chocolate lover. Before arriving to the factory, he passed a diary which the time crystals brought the Smurfs to. He used the cuckoo to steal a piece of cheese. However, Wild Smurf was inside the cheese as he was finding Greedy Smurf who was eating cheese on another piece of cheese. The thief had got Wild away with his horse. On the way, Wild saw the cuckoo clock and found the cuckoo inside. He freed it away but the thief found it very soon and replaced the cuckoo with wild so that the clock could work again. He went into the factory, but the other Smurf was chasing very fast and got into the factory just after him. He used the clock when the factory guards opened the chocolate storage door. Everything stopped except him and Greedy Smurf. He fell into a pot of chocolate and the chocolate covered his ears. He found Wild and saved him. Without anything to produce sounds that made people stop, everything back to normal. Finally, the thief was sent out the factory by the factory guards.
In the episode, he also owns a horse called Horsey who loves chocolate as much as its master.
