Fireman Smurf is a character that appears a few times in the Smurf comic books, but mostly appears in toys. As he is named, he is the Smurf Village's chief in firefighting and leads a brigade of firefighters to put out fires in the village. This role is taken by Handy Smurf in the 1981 TV series and by Clumsy and Dimwitty in the 2021 TV series.
He also appears in Smurfs' Village game where his hut can be purchased for 35 smurfberries. He has three huts, one in the main village, the island and mountain regions, but a player has to purchase his hut in the main village before buying the other ones in the other regions. He will collect coins and XP from different items in the game all at once instead of the player having to collect them from each item one-by-one. There is also a special bonus in which players can use smurfberries to get more coins and XP from Fireman.

- In several one-page gags of the Smurfs comic books, Fireman is prone to mistaking that there is a fire. This gag would also appear in the 2021 TV series.
